Well, not so little anymore.

She is now 23 and informs me on a daily basis that I’m an old man when I’m only 4 years older than her.

Mom, I wish you all the best on your special day. As you grow older, you become even more beautiful than you already are. You look like you’re in your mid 30′s. People think I’m your boyfriend when we walk outside. It’s that bad. I’m glad this day neighbors a weekend so you can relax and have fun.

As for your looking younger than his age (I kid, I kid) son, I turn 27 today and as the years have passed, I look forward to birthdays more and more. I’m embracing getting up there in years.

Why?

Because I’ve learned to appreciate life. I’ve learned to appreciate the roof over my head, the food, the job, the health, etc. I used to complain about not having material things and never cared to think about how lucky I’ve been with everything I just mentioned.

But with age comes change right?

So I’m extremely grateful for my friends, my family, and another year of life.

The future is going to be beautiful and the next few days I’ll spend with tons of liquor in my system…

to my damn good looking parents.

Just a few days ago they celebrated 32 years of marriage *round of applause*

These two grew up at a different time. The people of today can’t even last a quarter of that time because they want to give up on marriages right away. Lucky for me, through all the issues I’m sure these two have had, love has conquered all.

I cant stress enough how important it was for me and my sister to grow up in a two parent household. I really don’t know how we would have turned out if one of them had to raise the both of us. Luckily, that never happened.

These two produced a beautiful daughter and a so-so son (I’m fine as wine, I’m just being modest). I wonder if I can ever find a woman to help me top this picture. Probably not. Mommy will always be more beautiful than her.
