]]> Shoutout to my man and one of the founders of the Uptown Collective Led Black who did great on this panel titled “Hyperlocal Media in Your ‘Hood.”

You should definitely check this out if you’re interested in online media.

He mentions my post last year detailing my time (48 minute mark) at Inwood’s first gay club, Le Boy, which ignited a lot of discussion amongst many members of our community.

I know @artforstrangers would hate me for saying this (as he’s such a humble dude), but he is not only a magnificent photographer, but also great at making videos.

This video really embodies our close-knit community. I also like the selection of a Kanye track for the video towards the end. I appear around 9:20 or so at our neighborhood bumrush.

I went to the first few of these and had a good time. I missed the one in my neighborhood, but there was actually another event under the bridge the other day on 181. I’m sure there will be plenty of more where this came from. I mean, there’s no better place to throw something than in the Heights and Inwood.
