I know we’re facing a team that has bumped us the last two times we played them in the playoffs.
I know that no one is predicting us to win this series. They expect a tough one, but think we’re too old. But I say anything is possible. If we can get out of the first round, we can easily make it to the Conference Finals and with the way LA is struggling, again, anything is possible.
But if we don’t win this year, I’ve always said as long as Tim Duncan is walking (yes I know he’s fallen off), we have a chance to win the title. So if we don’t win this year, we have two years left (2013 when Duncan retires) to do so. The front office will make the necessary additions and subtractions (Richard Jefferson) to keep up Spurs fans optimistic about a fifth title.
The focus is on this upcoming weekend though.
So here’s my prediction: Dallas in 6.
They’re the superior team even though I hate to say that about a rival. A hated rival.
P.S: My NBA Finals prediction is Cleveland vs Dallas. Cleveland in 7.
