This past Fall/Winter I volunteered as an Assistant Coach for my friend Eric’s basketball team over at Landmark HS in the city. I love basketball so volunteering wasn’t an issue for me at all.

Our season started off great, but we ran into a few bumps on the road and missed the playoffs by 1 game. I saw these young men last night for the first time in a month and realized how much I missed them and what an impact they made on my life.

We all had our times as coaches where we wanted to pull our hair out, but the majority of the time they made us proud. They really grew as men this year and hopefully those who return next year will continue to grow and make us into one of the better teams in the city.

As for the graduating seniors, all the best to you guys and continue pursuing your dreams and valuing your education because its all that matters in the end. Thanks to Eric and Arrick again for contributing…
