Hector Lavoe – Periodico De Ayer…

December 2nd, 2009 · 2 Comments · Music

Lately, I’ve been on this Boricua craze with one of my amigos.

Women, pasteles, rooting for Miguel Cotto, and days of listening to Lavoe, Marc Anthony and Santa Rosa on the iPod.

I don’t know what’s happening, but I’ve become a Boricua enthusiast within the last month or so.

Anyways, this is Hector Lavoe live in Mexico in ‘78.

If you don’t know about Salsa or Latin music in general, all you need to know is this guy is a legend.

One of my favorite songs from Senor Lavoe.

Hector Lavoe – (translated) Your love is yesterday’s paper/news.

You have to love the 70’s outfits too. Hector’s standing still at the mic and the band impeccably dressed with the lady dancing solo in the corner.

Salute this man…

One of my favorite songs/artists as well… Good one! I am also on a Boricua trip, but I think it’s mostly cause I’m a bit disappointed on my peoples. More on that later.

Hector was and will be for ever the BEST Salsa singer of all times.
His voice was unique, it was magical, it would stay inside of your soul.
