As my friend over at Manhattan Speak would say, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a “culture fest, but more of a street fair.”
All in all, it was my first time attending this event in Dyckman and I really enjoyed myself. It was nice to see something like this in our neighborhood.
Everyone seemed to get along well and enjoy the music and dance performances that were on display.

WNYC covered the street fair. I posted a bit of a rant in the comments to express my anger at our local political candidates and their sound-truck-blasting ways.

I don’t disagree with you at all. I’ve lived here all my life and its always been a way of life here for politicians to do this.
I don’t know how music blasting can get you votes, but that’s how these people think and there needs to be something done about it.
