Congratulations to Tom Perez for gaining the post of Assistant Attorney General in President Obama’s administration.

I’m very proud of this moment because he is a son of two Dominican immigrants who fled the DR during the time of the tyrant, Trujillo’s dictatorship. Perez, graduated from Brown undergrad, Harvard law school and its Kennedy School of Government.

Kudos to him and we’re sure you’ll do a great job.
