Yesterday, I attended the Sox v Yankees’ first game at the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
As a season ticket holder, I was their for the opening pre-season games against the Cubs, but sold the majority of my games off for the rest of the season. Last night, I was hit with some complimentary tickets from my boss, Gary, sitting near the 3rd base line on the lower level right behind the “Legends” seats.
I went with my friend Jason from elementary school who is a Yankee fan. I actually cheered for those fools for the night. As we all know, I’m a Padres fan.
This is arguably the best rivalry in sports. There’s Ohio State v Michigan, Duke v UNC, Maple Leafs v Canadiens, and the people braving the rain for hours proved that. Too bad for Yanks fans, they lose 6-4.
