Some past journalism work…

I figured as I’ve been running into a case of “What the hell to write about?,” that I’d just take you back into time to see some stuff I wrote while I was in college.

The award-winning article actually forced some legislation to be brought forth in NY Congress to confront this issue. Aside from that, I have some pieces that mention me and political/social issues pieces where most of my experience lies.

“Blacks migrating back south.”
“Punishing phone call tax for prisoners families.” (IPA Award-Winner)
“Brooklyn College student journalist honored for expose.”
“UTNE mentions my article.”
“Rosa Parks statue set for Capitol, but not in National Statuary Hall.”
“Military faces decline in Black recruits.”
“How Manny Ramirez, Latinos, and the Dodgers all make sense (cents).”
“A letter to the editor from a reader of The Green Magazine on an article I wrote for a piece focusing on the tense Dominican/Haitian relations.”

I will build a section for all my work in the future. A lot of this stuff is two years old as I was extremely busy my last two years of school and had zero time to write. As I mentioned before, now that I have the time, expect a lot more writing on different topics in the near future.
